Maharaj Ji says it’s already written in destiny where I am going to reveal myself. If it is written that I am going to reveal myself on this forehead then I will.

Maharaj Ji, what about me ?

You can get it written right now! I will write it and then if you want you can feel Me right after. But first I will write it in your destiny, on your forehead.

Please let us become totally focused at the forehead and feel His presence, the pressure, the vibrations, the dance. Those of us who can really make ourselves available to Him, He would take us within, about 2 to 2.5 inches inside the forehead at the level of the point between the eyebrows.

bhai bhaa-ay seegaar banaa-ay.

He says the one who has love for Me, would also remain fearful of losing Me, and these two are the decorations, the virtues that adorn that consciousness. So, what happens to the one who wears these decorations ?

gur parsaadee mahal ghar paa-ay.

The Guru becomes pleased with the one who is adorned with the ornaments of love and fear, takes him to the palace of the Divine, and allows him to make a home there. Wherever we feel the Divine, that is His court, that is His abode, His palace. Slowly, we are going to make a home there.

an-din sadaa ravai din raatee

When the Guru becomes pleased with you, He allows one to make a home in the palace of the Divine, and that consciousness then celebrates His presence - deep stillness, bliss, peace.

majeethai rang banaavani-aa

And He colors you with His love.

It seems whatever the Guru says God does it. It’s a play, Guru and God are the same. Guru is the body through which God operates. What it really means is that the Guru does whatever comes within Him.

parabh mastakay Dhur leekhi-aa gurmatee har liv laa-i-o.

He says that God had written in your destiny that Hari would reveal Himself on your forehead. Hari is also one of God’s names. He doesn’t say I will reveal myself; God never addresses Himself as “I” because there is ego in “I”.

majeethai rang banaavani-aa

Feel His strong, powerful presence. Beg to Him that please make me feel Your presence more strongly.

Please remain there, in His palace.

Yesterday we saw how music affects our consciousness. Worldly (low) music, poetry, and songs influence the mind; the mind is connected to the body and this generates desires in the body. Gurbani is pure music, pure poetry, pure song, and has a major influence on our consciousness and takes it upwards. Let us understand the Guru. As we are going through the process of rebirth, there are two things that should be very clear to us - the Guru and Sangat. In every shabad (hymn), directly or indirectly Maharaj Ji takes the name of the Guru. If we understand correctly the importance of The Living Guru and the Holy Congregation, then it will become easier for us. Without these two things the rebirth can never happen; this is the law of the Divine. Guru Granth Sahib Ji is our Living Guru. We will understand later how Guru Granth Sahib Ji is the Living Guru.

The Guru has many formless forms. First of all, Guru is a poet. All of Gurbani is poetry, verses, poems, love songs, because God sings; he is a poet. All the Guru Sahibs and different saints whose hymns are in Guru Granth Sahib Ji, they are all in verses. The Guru is a musician and poet. All of the hymns are in ragas, distinctly defined notes and rhythm of music. In His first, second, third, fourth, fifth, ninth, and tenth appearances Maharaj Ji uttered Gurbani and in His first, fifth, and tenth appearances Maharaj Ji did keertan Himself. During the first appearance, Mardana Ji played the rabaab. In His fifth and tenth appearance, Maharaj Ji used to sing and play string instruments. So, the Guru is a musician.

The Guru is also a painter. He paints a picture. Just now the shabad that we read, it paints a picture. Then Guru is a potter, who makes utensils. He makes our consciousness a vessel. In Jat Pahaaraa, he makes our heart the vessel. When he says, suni-ai (hear), then He makes our consciousness a vessel of hearing. When He says to us that behold the Divine, then He makes our consciousness a vessel to feel the Divine. And when He talks about the Anhad Shabad (Celestial Music), He makes our consciousness a vessel to receive ishq, to drink ishq.

Gurbani has been sung out of love and makes us get to know that holy love.

sun man mitar pi-aari-aa mil vaylaa hai ayh.

saajanrhaa mayraa saajanrhaa nikat khalo-i-arhaa mayraa saajanrhaa.

All His utterances are uttered out of His love for His creation. Through His utterances, He introduces us to love. The Guru is all these things together and much, much more. He is a multidimensional phenomenon. He is not a person, He has so many formless forms. He is a miracle, and creates miracles. To be born again is the happening of a miracle and the Guru creates that miracle.

The feeling when we are deprived of sangat, let’s sing this dhaarnaa.

Dhaarnaa:

vay mainoo, tayray baajhoN ji-oona, gunaah lagi-aa

rab ik vaaree tayraa mayraa mayl jay karaavay

souNh, tayree vay jay akh mayree, jaraa hil jaavay

aa-ee maut noo vee lagoo ohnoo paap lagi-aa.

Even if my death comes to take me, she would feel that I have sinned by coming at such an auspicious moment.

vay mainoo, tayray baajhoN ji-oona, gunaah lagi-aa

Please become focused at the forehead.

Refreshing what we started talking about in California, how God has shown man that in everything in the Universe, God’s power is vibrating at immensely variable frequencies, even in these seemingly dead things like walls, wood, sheets of metal, ceiling. The lowest frequency is 42 times a second and the highest frequency is 750 trillion times a second, which we cannot even imagine. On top of that, all those frequencies with which God is vibrating in the Universe, all those frequencies are within us. Only a human body is capable of that. Every dog barks and sounds the same, all pigeons sound the same, all horses sound the same; it is only in the case of a human being that all of us sound different because in humans all those frequencies of vibrations are available and the sound is a result of the vibrations. Whenever something moves, that is what generates the sound. When air strikes the leaves, they move and produce a sound. Within us God’s vibrating power is producing the sound. The one we are looking for is operating so obviously!

Dhaarnaa:

kaalay rang daa gulaab ko-ee naa

sajnaa, savaal keetay sanoo, aa-i-aa javaab ko-ee naa

The dhaarnaa is that there is no dark black colored rose. My Beloved asked me some questions but I had no answer. He says everything is available in the world, and people are advertising and calling you out, so many things are available to you, then how come you are still unpeaceful and not content ? And I had no answer!

baajh rehmtaaN day nadee-aaN see

You kept drinking from the worldly rivers. They gave you the water but God did not put that thing in it that satisfies the thirst and makes us content. The nature of the world that God has created is that whatever we taste, eat, drink or experience cannot make us permanently content, unlike the grace of the Guru. Nothing has that grace in it.

baajh rehmtaaN day nadee-aaN see

doojaa days bigaanaa see

teeja akh nahee see parkhan dee

tay naal nadee-aaN yaraanaa see

First of all whatever you experienced outside was unable to give you any peace and contentment. Secondly, you were in a foreign land; your country is within. Thirdly, you didn’t have the eye to examine what I am going to really get out of this, and fourthly you fell in love with rivers who didn’t have the grace and could not make you content. That’s why your condition is pitiable.

If you eat gulaab jaamuns (a dessert), they are sweet and the taste lasts for a little bit but does not make us content. This is the law of nature that we will be hungry for whatever we taste or experience. The more we taste or experience something, the more hungry we become for that. In the outside world, the more we taste, the more hungry we become. Someone is a councilman and then he or she wants to be a minister, the hunger never ends. And in the inside world, the more we consume the more content we become. Our mind never lets us see the nature of the outside world, it keeps us in an illusion.

tainoo chaheedee see boond savantee

You never recognized what you really need. You didn’t need the water of those rivers. You needed something else. His ishq was raining inside and you needed a drop of that celestial rain of ishq. You never knew the secret! You kept thinking all your life that I am hungry, thirsty, unpeaceful but you never asked the question why it is like that even when you have everything available.

laa-i-aa aynaa vee hisaab ko-ee naa

You never sat down peacefully and examined that after all what is the reason for my pain and sufferings when I have everything.

sajnaa, savaal keetay sanoo, aa-i-aa javaab ko-ee naa

This is a letter from a child of mine. It says:

Dear Baba Ji, before coming to Calgary I asked both of my parents if I could take the car to Calgary and both of them said no. I didn’t say anything, I just went to my room and started crying. The next morning Maharaj Ji put it in me that crying is not going to do anything, today let us listen to everything my parents have to say. You said in Khajaanaa Darshan how rebelling is negative so I didn’t want to rebel, I didn’t fight with them. I stayed with them all day and listened to what they said. I shared some stories about my experiences in Fresno and other places that Maharaj Ji took me to. We went to the store together and on the way we sang dhaarnaa’s. We had never done this before and it felt so nice and so much love. It is as if Maharaj Ji cast a spell on them because when we came back from the store both of them were very happy about me going to Calgary. It was me who needed to change myself, not them. Thank you Maharaj Ji for letting me realize this. Thank you for showing us how to live life, how He wants us to love! It feels like Maharaj Ji has unlocked a new way to live.

Dear son, it’s not a new way, it’s the right way. The other way is not the right way.
