ੴ ਸਤਿਨਾਮ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਜੂਨੀ ਸੈਭੰ ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ॥
॥ ਜਪੁ॥
ਆਦਿ ਸਚੁ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਸਚੁ। ॥ ਹੈ ਭੀ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਹੋਸੀ ਭੀ ਸਚੁ॥
mool du-aarai banDhi-aa banDh.
I’ve become fully focused at the root of the spine. I go there, my Beloved meets me there, He wakes me up, and brings me upward. My Beloved wakes me up and sets me on the most pious pilgrimage, the path of which is upward, and He walks with me.
My Beloved sets me on this pilgrimage and starts walking with me. The path is like walking uphill but He says don’t worry I’m with you; both of us are going to walk together, hand in hand, and our company is going to be so beautiful. You have no idea! You cannot imagine! On the way, sometimes I will sing to you, and you listen, and sometimes you sing to Me, and I will listen.
rav oopar geh raakhi-aa chand.
While we would be feeling the love, we would also start enjoying the silence of a night, full of stars, the silence of the moon. You are going to become so full and peaceful, that you would become silent. There would be no need to talk. You would become so silent that it would be hard for you to speak.
Do you want to go on that journey?
Me?
Yeah, both you and me.
Would I have to leave everything behind?
What do you have?
I have my property, my people, my family, and my friends.
No, you are not going to leave anything behind; don’t even worry about that. That question should not arise. How come that question even arose in you? You are so silly! You know why?
Why?
Because your so-called world has made you mentally paralyzed.
Come at the heart area while rising upward from behind, and when we are at the heart level, feel the presence, the heaviness in front of the chest. The heaviness we are feeling is the burden we have burdened ourselves with, unknowingly, inadvertently.
This heaviness at the heart area which is hiding tears, the cloud of tears that we are carrying within.

When the true Guru becomes merciful to us, he shows us the truth about life.
Please stay at the heart. Keep feeling the heaviness.
Yesterday, we saw how there is no opportunity for growth in the world; one can only become old because that is the only thing that can happen in the world. A child is a month old, and somebody asks how old is the child? The language is so correct because in the world we can only grow old. If the Divine becomes so merciful to us, only then we can grow upwards. Growth can only happen upwards but that never happens in the world. This miracle can only happen in another world, which is beyond the conception of the worldly world.
The worldly riches can never make us truly rich. The worldly riches can never save us from death, from reincarnation. The worldly riches can never make us peaceful, serene, silent, fulfilled. Maharaj Ji says true riches are those that can enter and remain in your consciousness. The worldly riches, the worldly property, the worldly power, they remain outside; the worldly property cannot come within our consciousness, it would remain on the land. All that money cannot enter our consciousness, that would remain in the bank outside of us. The only thing that can really enter our consciousness is God, and that is the real riches. Right now, what we have are just thoughts; that I have so much; I have this, I have that; just thoughts, but those things are not in our consciousness.
ਗਿਆਨੀਆ ਕਾ ਧਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਵਾਪਾਰੁ ॥
gi-aanee-aa kaa Dhan naam hai sahj karahi vaapaar.
Maharaj Ji says those who know, not understand; those who know and feel that what riches are, come to know that to have God in us can be the only real riches.
satgur pooraa bha-i-aa kirpaal.
hirdai vasi-aa sadaa gupaal. ||1||
The Beloved Lord starts dwelling in the hirdaa continuously when the Guru becomes merciful to us.
Feel the heaviness going away.
gaavee-ai sunee-ai man rakhee-ai bhaa-o
dukh parhar sukh ghar lai jaa-ay
Maharaj Ji says you don’t have to do anything; just come at the hirdaa, and I will take all your burden away, and in exchange, you would have Me. Is this bargain worth doing or not? Give Me all your burden, and I will give Myself to you. Maharaj Ji says:
onaa pi-aaraa rab onaahaa jog-ee.
He says those who love God, God becomes totally theirs! He says, here I am!
hirdai vasi-aa sadaa gupaal.
Hirdaa is the house of love and the forehead is the house of thoughts, thinking. When we feel Him at the heart, His touch transfers His love in us, and that love in us becomes the cause of transformation.
At the heart area, His love is infused in us and our consciousness transforms; our consciousness becomes full of love. That old consciousness is totally transformed, or we can also say it’s purified, and that purified, transformed consciousness is totally new. This miracle happens at the heart; a totally new consciousness, which can hardly have anything old in it, and that is our new birth. When the new birth happens, suddenly we feel everything outside as if we are looking at it for the first time, even our body. The real transformation starts happening when He infuses His love within us and we feel it. Then, one does not see things or people as good or bad; it is just love. Those eyes are different; they just see what is.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸੇ ਅਖੜੀਆਂ ਬਿਅੰਨਿ ਜਿਨੀ ਡਿਸੰਦੋ ਮਾ ਪਿਰੀ ॥
naanak say akh-rhee-aaN bi-ann jinee disando maa piree.
Everything is new, fresh, newly born, alive, throbbing with love, throbbing with peace, throbbing with something mesmerizing!
That love that comes within us brings beautiful thoughts to us. Then we don’t say that I have these thoughts; thoughts just come to us; there is no you or I. They won’t be your thoughts; they will just come to you. You would experience these beautiful thoughts and you will see how amazing this body is, and that it contains something so precious. With those beautiful thoughts, He makes us love ourselves. Please reflect upon this.
If we see honestly, we do not love ourselves. We may be proud of our muscles, or our power, or our beauty or anything, but pride and love are not the same. We do not love ourselves, and in that new being, there’s no I; in that new being, we become full of love, and the first thing that happens is that you love yourself. God loves Himself! That’s why He plays with Himself. An ocean loves itself; that’s why it plays with itself; creates bubbles, foam, waves, movements and all that. The same way, we start loving this; the words me or mine are not there; you are living, you are! It’s not even you; there is no I and you; just love, and loving the self. That self is not I; that self is actually Godliness, and because you are full of love, you love yourself and only now you can love others.
We have no idea what love is. This mind’s consciousness becomes attached to others, but that’s not love, that’s a selfish act, and that selfish act usually is very obvious; sometimes it can be hidden.
daykhou bhaa-ee ga-yaan kee aa-ee aaNDhee.
ਸਭੈ ਉਡਾਨੀ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਕੀ ਟਾਟੀ ਰਹੈ ਨ ਮਾਇਆ ਬਾਂਧੀ ॥
sabhai udaanee bharam kee taatee rahai na maa-i-aa baaNDhee.
Maharaj Ji says that a storm of love comes within you and all your illusion is blown away. What you have been carrying was an illusion.
Until we experience His love and slowly become love, we can never know what love is, we can never know what life is, we can never know what nature is or what universe is. In other words, we can never know anything at all! We may become PhD’s and all that, and we will have so many degrees but we will be totally clueless about the self, and about His creation.
Stay at the heart as long as you can. Also, go upwards if Maharaj Ji takes you there.
ਸਹਜੇ ਗਾਵਿਆ ਥਾਇ ਪਵੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਸਹਜੈ ਕਥਨੀ ਬਾਦਿ ॥
sehjay gaavi-aa thaa-ay pavai bin sahjai kathnee baad.
gaavee-ai sunee-ai man rakhee-ai bhaa-o
dukh parhar sukh ghar lai jaa-ay
He says, sing My utterances, sing His glories, and hear; sing and hear them with love. Then I would trade your burden, your misery, with real peace, real love, real truth. But He says, remember that trade will only happen if you sing out of sahaj, total stillness, total inner peace, out of total inner silence. Otherwise, there is no fruit (baad - means without any fruit, without any reward).
Let us please become totally peaceful, and we can only become peaceful through feeling Him. We cannot become peaceful ourselves. This miracle can only happen if we become attached to the one who is peaceful, that is God within. He says sing with total stillness, only that singing bears fruit.
ਸਹਜੇ ਗਾਵਿਆ ਥਾਇ ਪਵੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਸਹਜੈ ਕਥਨੀ ਬਾਦਿ ॥
