man anad bha-i-aa parabh aavat suni-aa.

I have heard my Beloved Lord is coming and I’m full of joy and bliss. Just hearing Him coming, just to remember Him makes us joyful and blissful. We sang this yesterday; let us sing the next line of this hymn by Guru Nanak Dev Ji. When He comes, we are going to feel Him and who are we? Who feels Him? This very consciousness which looks out, hears from outside, talks to people outside, keeps wandering outside from one place to another, from one person to another, from one thing to another thing; this consciousness has to come home to feel the Divine. He is within us, but we are not within to feel Him. People say there is no God. You have to come home to meet Him. He is not out in the shopping malls doing some shopping. The moment we come, we become peaceful. The secret: What do we call home? Home is where we feel we can relax and we can feel secure and comfortable. But we are never home and then complain that I don’t feel comfortable, I feel insecure, I don’t feel relaxed. We never come home so how can we feel relaxed? In the beginning, we have to bring this consciousness on the outside of our body because we cannot take it in immediately but with more and more meditation, it goes within, it goes under our skin. Once it goes under our skin, that’s when the real bliss is felt. Then it never comes out because it has experienced the outside, and now it has experienced the inside, and it loves the inside. So let us focus either in between the eyebrows or at the heart area. When we recite Waheguru, the Wonderful Lord, we are calling Him. If we are fully alert to feel Him, He will be felt. So, please become fully focused either at the heart area or in between the eyebrows.

Guru Nanak Dev Ji says

mayree sayjarhee-ai aadambar bani-aa.

My Beloved is coming to meet me and I have become His seat, His bed. When we focus at any point in our body, we bring our consciousness to that point, so our consciousness becomes a bed or seat for the Divine because our consciousness is going to feel Him. Our consciousness does not feel the flesh; even when we shake hands with somebody, it’s not flesh feeling the flesh, it’s the consciousness feeling the consciousness. That’s why you will see that if two very good friends meet, they keep on shaking their hands because it’s not the flesh, it’s the consciousness. Let us become a bed for Him. Guru Nanak Dev Ji says, I have become his bed and the bed is most beautiful. It’s full of joy, anticipation, and humility. I feel so humbled that the lord of the universe is coming to meet me, a little speck in the universe. It’s unthinkable that He Himself would come to meet me. It’s not that He has to, it’s not that He needs something from me, it is just because I called Him and He loves me. We should please make sure that we are very humble; that there is humility, joy, and gratefulness in us. That humility, gratefulness, joy that is within our consciousness has become a bed for Him. He says I have decorated His bed most beautifully. Let us all sing together please; it’s just four words in Gurmukhi.

Gurmukhi was the new language Guru Nanak Dev Ji invented to let the Divine speak through Him. The words in Gurmukhi are not to be found in any other language because He coined this language to express the Truth as closely as possible. Please let our insides open up and let them sing, not with hesitancy and self-consciousness, but by becoming lost in singing. If we remain self-conscious then we will remain in the mind; mind would come between us and our Beloved and it will not let us feel Him. So any thoughts, any self-consciousness must not be there; it should be just as if we are drunk and He is going to make us drunk with His love.

mayree sayjarhee-ai aadambar bani-aa.

Sayj - It doesn’t actually mean bed; there is no word in any language. It’s a special seat or bed which is prepared only for the Husband Lord and me. No other person is allowed to sit on that, not even our beautiful friends and relatives. That is sayj. Please stay there and feel a power or if you are focusing at the heart area, then with closed eyes, with total focus, you would feel the presence of some power; it is Him but He is so powerful that He is only letting us feel the weakest feeling otherwise we won’t be able to tolerate Him. As we become more and more capable of receiving Him then He will be coming in more and more within us, filling us with His presence. Then we don’t have to feel Him; you simply cannot avoid Him.

Stay there please. You sang so beautifully, thank you so much! While feeling Him, please also let my sound come to you where you are feeling Him. Guru Granth Sahib Ji is the compilation of love songs during Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s repeated appearances in different bodies as well as other lovers of God from all different religions, paths of life. Guru Nanak Dev Ji never recognized any religion. He says we all are humans; we all are His children. Every religion is beautiful but let us not forget we all are humans. We all are carrying the same Divine light regardless which religion you believe in. Guru Granth Sahib Ji says:

He says I’m not afraid of losing my youth or beauty because youth and beauty has to wither. He says I’m not afraid at all of losing my youth or beauty as long as I do not lose ishq for my Beloved because without having ishq with Him no one has real true beauty. The true beauty is of the state of our consciousness.

fareedaa kiteeN joban pareet bin suk ga-ay kumlaa-ay

He says, I’m seeing all around me that all the youth and beauty are withering away for those who do not have Him, who do not have their Beloved in their lives; they are withering away.

fareedaa buray daa bhalaa kar gusaa man na hadhaa-ay

He says, answer evil with goodness. If somebody slaps you, not only that you don’t slap him back or turn your other cheek, He says:

He says if somebody hurts you, do not hurt that person back and ask for more hurt. He says, kiss the feet of the one who has hurt you. Either he is making you aware of some deficiencies in you, or if you have no deficiency then he is telling you why the heck your consciousness is roaming around outside, go home. He says, kiss that person’s feet; he is showing you that home is the place where you have comfort, love, your Beloved, everything! He is only showing you that all you would get from outside is hurt. So, he doesn’t deserve to be hit back; you should kiss his feet and go home.

fareedaa buray daa bhalaa kar gusaa man na hadhaa-ay

If somebody is not good and they hurt you, do not become angry, do some good to them. That way you would not hold any anger towards them. Otherwise, the anger that you will have for them will only poison your insides. Do good to them; that way you will not hold anger within, both physically and in your consciousness you would remain healthy and very beautiful.

My Beloved Husband Lord is all ishq and gratefulness. God doesn’t have to be grateful towards anyone, but this is how His consciousness is and by dwelling with Him, that’s how we become grateful and humble. These are the virtues He transfers into us when we start dwelling with Him.

alah saytee rati-aa ayhu sachaavaaN saaj

Stay with the Divine; He would transfer His virtues into you, and you would become the most beautiful being in His creation. Those virtues are the most beautiful true decorations - ishq, gratefulness, humility, compassion and more. Now let us sing another line of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. He says when we sit together and call our Beloved, and if somebody does not feel Him, then she goes to her other sister-friends and asks them: kindly tell me what are the signs when the Beloved arrives? What are the signs when He arrives?

mil sakhee-aa puchheh kaho kant neesaanee.

Please tell me what are the signs when He arrives.

mil means meeting, sakhee-aaN means sister-friends. Meeting sister-friends, she asks: kindly tell me what are the signs when He comes. And they say:

ras paraym bharee kachh bol na jaanee.

When I ask them, what are the signs when He comes, they look at me full of ishq.

They look at me and I see they’re full of ishq, but they cannot utter any word. They just shake their head, meaning that it cannot be said in words. But I see them full of peace and ishq and humility.

We must not please waste any day without experiencing the peak experience of human consciousness, human life. Living with Him, you would feel so strong, so loving, so peaceful, so kind, unafraid, friendly, loving towards everything and everybody. When we have this choice, why choose the negative options? So please, later on when we sit together I want to see how you can meet together and do meditation because the miracle of God happens in the congregation.

satsangat kaisee jaanee-ai.

jithai ayko naam vakhaanee-ai.

Guru Nanak Dev Ji says that the true congregation is where nothing except the truth is talked about. When we would start dwelling with Him, we would start falling in line with the march of the cosmos. Cosmos is continuously in motion under His command. By staying with Him, we would be marching with the cosmos, flowing with the current of life and not against it. That’s when God starts becoming activated in us. He takes over our insides, and He starts talking; then He looks out of us, and we are no more. No possibility of becoming stressed or in pain or insecure. It never was you or me, it was just Him. He says:

He says, never ever utter even a single harsh or bitter word to anyone because each and everyone is carrying my Beloved. He is your life too. Can you imagine saying something unrespectable to someone who is carrying the source of your life; where the source of your life dwells.

sabhnaa man maanik thaahan mool machaaNgvaa.

Everybody’s heart is like a precious, priceless jewel because the Divine dwells there. To hurt a heart is no good at all.

jay ta-o piree-aa dee sik hi-aa-o na thaahay kahee daa

If you are longing to meet your Beloved, then make sure that you do not break any heart. Otherwise, He will not meet you. He says make sure that you never hurt anyone; you never break any heart if you are longing to meet Him, and we all are longing to meet Him.

We should make it a habit that wherever we are passing by, silently go within and keep on blessing everything, every person. Guru Nanak Dev Ji asked us to do prayers both in the morning and in the evening, begging the Divine to bless everyone with peace and love and security. That is just to remind us but in fact we should, wherever we are, keep blessing everyone; nobody has to know, just keep blessing them, and then feel how God makes you beautiful within. Soon we will start feeling connected to them, to everything, to everybody.

These past four days have been so beautiful. But they just flew by. When the times are good, the time flies, and when we talk about our Beloved or or sit in meditation, times are always good. I am most humbly grateful to each and everyone of you to bless me with the dust of your feet for the past four days. I am especially grateful because you came so far away to enrich me with the dust of your feet and your presence.

Now the prayer of thanking Him for blessing us with these beautiful moments and allowing us to feel Him. Anand Sahib is one long hymn stating the state of being one with Him and feeling so grateful towards Him. It was uttered by Guru Nanak Dev Ji during his third appearance.

anand bha-i-aa mayree maa-ay satguroo mai paa-i-aa.

kahai naanak anand ho-aa satguroo mai paa-i-aa.

In the first stanza which we just sang, it says: Oh my mother, I’m so blessed I met the True Guru and I have become so peaceful.

ay man mayri-aa too sadaa rahu har naalay.

kahai naanak man mayray sadaa rahu har naalay.

The 2nd stanza: Oh my mind, stay with God all the time; stay with Him, you would feel peaceful and loving. He will protect you and he will take care of all your affairs. All you are looking for is how you can avoid death, and how you can remain so in ecstasy all the time, in deep intoxication, drunk with something, and have no fear of death. Fear of disease is actually the fear of death. You would not die and you would remain boundlessly ecstatic. He is capable of doing that.

saachay saahibaa ki-aa naahee ghar tayrai.

kahai naanak sachay saahib ki-aa naahee ghar tayrai.

In the first stanza, Maharaj Ji talks to the mother because mother is the most confidant. He tells her that I have met the True Guru. Then, in the second stanza, He talks to our mind. Then, He talks to the Divine in the third stanza: Oh my Beloved, my source of life, what is there which is not in your house? There is everything in your house, everything! And you give everything to those whom you become pleased with. That everything is that you give that person your Name; You bless them that they remember You, and then You stay with them. When you stay with someone, then they have everything. Guru Nanak Dev says, when You, Yourself come to somebody’s house, what is left behind! Everything else is Your creation. The creator has come to your house. So, He says that when You start dwelling with someone, You have blessed that being with everything; your virtues, your nature, your creation, the whole universe becomes that person’s. Then he can go anywhere or any house and he will be welcomed. When God becomes ours, the whole universe becomes ours.

Guru Nanak Dev Ji says to you: Oh saints! You are saints, it’s another thing that you do not know you are a saint. You are the embodiment of God and when God starts operating through someone, that person is called God. You are God, you are a saint! But you are just asleep, you don’t know that. He is the source of your life, and he should be the base, and remain the source of your life. Do not make other people, other places, other things dearer to you. He is the most dear. Be grateful to the Guru that the Guru makes you meet the Divine, and you recognize that you are a saint.

He says when the Divine meets you, you become peaceful, your insides become quiet, silent, content, and in that silence, you start hearing the Celestial Music which is being sung throughout the universe. That symphony is the combination of five musical instruments. It plays a major role in giving us re-birth while in human life. We are going to go through that process; how to become lodged in the womb of the Divine and become re-born. So please stay connected through YouTube with Khajana Darshan and we would go through the process of re-birth. Our first birth was being born out of our parents, and the re-birth takes place being born directly out of God. We are going to go through that process.

The last paurhee (stanza) is:

anad sunhu vadbhaageeho sagal manorath pooray.

binvant naanak gur charan laagay vaajay anhad tooray.

He says that I’m so blessed that the Guru took me as his own. Guru Nanak Dev Ji, in all his ten appearances said that my Guru is no living human being; my Guru is God. Guru Granth Sahib Ji are the utterances of God, which carry the vibrations of God. So, our Guru is not a mediator but God Himself. Guru Nanak Dev Ji says how blessed we are that the Guru, the God Himself is teaching.

waheguroo jee kaa khaalsaa

waheguroo jee kee fateh

I’m God’s and everything which becomes accomplished is His grace. I’m His, and everything which becomes accomplished is His grace, His victory (fateh). Fateh is beautifully, completely finished - victory, glory!

Waheguru!
