Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj Ji, in his third appearance, decided to establish 22 cots (manjees). People who were well on this path of ishq were blessed with a cot; to sit on the cot and teach the people of that area about this path - that we can immediately experience the presence of God. We have already seen 8 manjees. Another manjee was blessed to this person. This is a very interesting story. He used to do seva in Guru Amar Das Ji’s langar with immense humility, love, faith, devotion. He used to keep singing Gurbani, sometimes out loud, and sometimes within. He had a very lovely nature that whenever somebody would say something, if that was according to the Gurbani then he would say true (sach), and if that was not true on the scale of Gurbani then he would say untrue (nisach). He would only utter these two words, sach or nisach, so over time people started to call him Sach Nisach. He was a very lovely, and highly spiritual person. Less than an hour’s drive from Hoshiarpur, towards Dharmshala in the mountains, there is a city called Haripur. The king of Haripur was a devotee of Maharaj Ji, and he used to come to Goindwaal Sahib with his family. Maharaj Ji made the princess of the King of Haripur marry Sach Nisach. Maharaj Ji was very happy with him. He blessed him with one cot to spread this message of love and oneness in the area of Ambala, which is about two hours from New Delhi.
Let us please come at the navel point.
fareedaa saahib dee kar chaakree dil dee laahi bharaaNd.
When Maharaj Ji says serve your Guru; bow down to your Guru, and serve Him.
gur sayva-o kar namaskaar.
To serve the Guru means to worship Him. Or to be a servant of the Guru is to worship Him.
Maharaj Ji says worship the Lord, the Divine, and then all the illusions in you will be removed - that if this or that person comes into my life, or this property becomes mine, or this position becomes mine, or this car becomes mine, or I become famous; He says these are all illusions. Nothing from outside can give you everlasting peace or inner love.
fareedaa saahib dee kar chaakree dil dee laahi bharaaNd.
If you worship Him, He will remove all the illusions that you are carrying.
While staying at the navel point, please.

He says your true self, what you are, is a darvays - one who remains with the Divine all the time. The nature of darvays is somewhat like trees; trees have immense patience and endurance. There may be storms, hail, so much cold or heat, or whatever, they remain rooted at one place.
Outside, your consciousness does not remain rooted in one place. It may stay in a person for some time, then it goes somewhere else. But the nature of trees is not like that.
Please understand this. Trees always remain rooted deeply in a firm place, and then they grow upward in the skies. Similarly, when we are rooted in the Divine; when we focus at the navel point, we are developing our roots there so we (consciousness) can rise up in the skies. The tree may become very tall, rise upwards in the skies, but its roots remain humble, no matter what. Your true nature is like that.
The roots anchor the tree. Maharaj Ji says if you have humility then you will be rooted in the Divine but if you don’t have humility then you are not rooted anywhere; without roots you cannot rise up.
So the roots of a tree anchors the tree, as well as it collects moisture and other minerals, elements from the dirt so that the tree can thrive. So, the tree cannot thrive without the roots.
Maharaj Ji says that if you are rooted in me firmly, then I’m going to nurture you, and you are going to thrive. And because your roots are going to be in me, you are going to be just like me - humility and gratitude.
Sometimes we see somebody is walking this path, a worldly person comes and hijacks that person, de-rails that person, and everything is lost. So, we have to be very careful. So, He’s telling us to always remain rooted in the Divine. That way you will remain humble, and you cannot fall down. Nobody can hijack you.

Maharaj Ji says, what an aashiq (lover) you are! You are partly looking towards me, and partly towards the world.

He says, aashiq is one who always remains absorbed in the Divine.

Maharaj Ji says Divine himself is ishq, and only He knows what ishq is.
Dhaarnaa (at 29:22)

The feet that only walk towards the village of ishq; I long to become those feet.
And what is the village of ishq? The body.
Please sing while staying within the village of ishq, at the navel point.

Let us feel the navel point. While remaining firmly at the navel point, please feel the movement at or around the navel point, keeping the sacred word, Waheguru, in your consciousness.
This son of mine writes that it feels like a great fountain is about to erupt from the navel - fountain of love, out of the navel point.
Please stay firmly rooted there and then lend me your ears.
It is very important to understand anger. The moment we get to understand anger correctly, half of the journey is covered.
Maharaj Ji has told us that the Divine is vibrating within each and every family of His creation at different speeds - from 40 vibrations per second to 570 trillion vibrations per second. Maharaj Ji is vibrating with that energy, with those vibrations, within. But, because we are so lost in the outside world, and while remaining outside our consciousness becomes blunt - it is busy thinking about he said this, she said that, and so on. Because our consciousness remains outside and becomes blunt, it is not subtle enough to feel the Divine or His presence within.
When God sees anger arising in anyone, He takes off and what He was doing within, so lovingly - vibrations were being generated; vibrations of love, vibrations of life, vibrations of peace, of humility - they are shut off! They are shut off and a very bad, evil energy enters into us and shakes up the whole system. Because God remains absent for some time, the immune system becomes weak.
When we remember Him, He starts vibrating within us at a higher speed. If we remember Him lovingly, He vibrates at an even higher speed. When He operates within us in the form of vibrations, heat is produced within us. Please look closely, we should feel the heat at the navel point. If we don’t feel it, then our consciousness is not fully within.
In Gurbaanee, in many instances, the word tap comes along with the word jap - tap means heat, and jap means to remember Him. When we remember Him with love, He heats up our inside with His love.
bha-o khalaa agan tap taa-o.
He says whoever becomes aware of the ill effects of anger, I operate within them at a higher speed, more lovingly. The more the Divine loves us, higher the speed with which the Divine vibrates within us. That high speed of vibrations is what brings laughter within us. If someone is angry, can laughter even come close to that person? No! When the Divine operates within us at higher and higher speeds, we smile or laugh without reason. You cannot help it. That makes our immune system very strong. Meditation makes our immune system very strong.
So, please we must remain very alert and awake, that I’m not going to let the anger attack me. The more we meditate, the more the Divine loves us, the higher the speed at which the Divine vibrates within us and heats up our consciousness and fills our consciousness with ishq. You can notice that if it is too cold and we are doing simran (meditation), the Divine does not vibrate as fast because the heat that is produced from the simran is used by the body to keep itself warm, instead of that heat being used to raise the consciousness up. There are deep things. We must implement these in our life now.
We have been looking at how the child arrives into the world and he has never felt alone in the mother’s womb.
Dhaarnaa (at 54:11)
aakhayN taaN maiN baat paavaaN …..aj ik sajanaa vay……tay tooN…..rakheeN us baat daa naa
When a child arrives into the world, the Divine immediately lodges him into His womb. He makes the child see the light shows within, and makes him feel the Divine through vibrations. The child never ever has any idea that he was; that he even was! The child never feels that ‘I am’, that ‘I am separate’.

hundee-aaN see kutkutee-aaN….kaday saaday andraaN ch….tay udoN…haasaa jaaNdaa see saano aa
When I was very young, sometimes the Divine would tickle me within, with vibrations, and I would smile.
Dhaarnaa (end)
Please stay at the navel point.
Maharaj Ji says:
ay man mayri-aa bin pa-urhee-aa mandar ki-o charhai raam.
He is saying to our consciousness, that you are in the deep dark well; how are you going to rise upwards? He is telling us that I have made a ladder for you with one rung at the root point, one rung at the pubic bone, one rung at the navel point, one rung at the hirdaa, one rung at the throat center, one rung at the forehead, and one rung at the top of the head.
Look at his love please! See how He says things, see the words. Oh my mind, how would you rise upward without a ladder?
What is important for the ladder to work? It is important that the place where the ladder rests on the ground should be strong, the ladder should have strong roots so it does not move. The ladder that the Divine made, He Himself becomes the roots. When we focus at the navel point, what keeps us planted there is the Divine Himself; He Himself becomes the roots and makes us go up the ladder. The Divine Himself says, how are you going to rise upwards towards my mansion? He himself becomes the ladder in order to take us to His mansion.
Please feel the heat. Through singing Maharaj Ji is making our wounded consciousness healthy. He’s taking us upward towards his mansion, he’s making our immune system strong.
ay man mayri-aa bin pa-urhee-aa mandar ki-o charhai raam.
If we sang it correctly, then we should feel a pull at the navel point.
While doing simran, or while having his thoughts, if we feel like laughing, smiling, it means He is smiling at us.
Dhaarnaa (at 1:08:00)

When I am lost in your thoughts, in thinking about you, I feel a very pious and extremely lovely fragrance coming out of me. It must be your fragrance!
