2476 - Khajana Darshan August 2, 2022 – Calgary (English Translation)

ੴ ਸਤਿਨਾਮ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਜੂਨੀ ਸੈਭੰ ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ॥
॥ ਜਪੁ॥
ਆਦਿ ਸਚੁ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਸਚੁ। ॥ ਹੈ ਭੀ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਹੋਸੀ ਭੀ ਸਚੁ॥
Please focus at the hirda, the heart area.
ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਸਭੁ ਸਉਪਿ ਗੁਰ ਕਉ ਹੁਕਮਿ ਮੰਨਿਐ ਪਾਈਐ ॥
tan man Dhan sabh sa-up gur ka-o hukam mani-ai paa-ee-ai.
Please hear and move away from the body. Please witness the body sitting in space, and if that is difficult then witness the body sitting in the holy congregation - legs crossed, hands folded, eyes closed, and hearing the sound. It doesn’t matter if you are sitting with legs crossed or not; the point is to witness the body in whichever state you are sitting. Let us please surrender the body to Him, just hand it over to Him because He has to work inside it. If we are doing it correctly then we would feel very peaceful.
The difference between parmatma (God) and Guru is that although parmatma is pervading in everyone, but when He operates out of a body, that is the Guru. Maharaj Ji says Guru Granth Sahib Ji is also a body out which the Divine operates - ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਜੀ ਮਾਨਿਯੋ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਕੀ ਦੇਹ।
Guru granth ji mani-o pargat guraaN kee day-h. Day-h (ਦੇਹ) means body.
sa-uNp gur ka-o, sa-uNp gur ka-o
Let us go deep into meditation, every time we sing sa-uNp gur ka-o, keep drowning in your sound. While singing let us surrender the body and mind to Him. We would feel that a thick cloud of sound is surrounding us, and we have to drown in that cloud and become totally unconscious about the surroundings. We should have no awareness of the body; we should only feel the singing sound and hear it - singing, hearing, and drowning in that sound, with utmost love. Please drown in your own sound, which is the sound of the Divine. Those who can, they can focus at the heart area. New sangat who may not be able to focus should just sing and hear their own sound. The more we drown, the more we will slow down. If we are singing fast that means the mind is singing.
sa-uNp gur ka-o, sa-uNp gur ka-o (meaning offer to Him, surrender to Him)
Please bring your focus to the navel point. At the navel point, we are going to say ‘sa-uN’ at the navel point and then come up to the throat and say ‘p’ (puh).
sa-uNp, sa-uNp, sa-uNp, sa-uNp…
Please look closely within and detect where in the body, starting from the lowest point in the body to the highest including the spine, where the Divine’s vibrating power has revealed itself.
The sound does not go anywhere, it remains in the space. The hall has been filled with the vibrations of sa-uNp that we were reciting. If we are completely still, we can hear that sound. It is not just a memory of what we sang, we can actually hear it.
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਰਤਾ ਰੰਗ ਸਿਉ ਹਉਮੈ ਤਜਿ ਵਿਕਾਰ ॥
man tan rataa rang si-o ha-umai taj vikaar.
Whosoever brings His body and consciousness to me, I imbue both of those in my love, ishq, and destroy his ego. Please feel the body weightless and the insides dancing lightly; feeling like laughing, there is joy. Witness your lips, feel them; they feel like smiling or laughing. Feel the laughter rising within. There may be a feeling of deep silence - it is not sadness. It takes us into sunn - deep stillness and silence.
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਰਤਾ ਰੰਗ ਸਿਉ ਹਉਮੈ ਤਜਿ ਵਿਕਾਰ ॥
man tan rataa rang si-o ha-umai taj vikaar.
ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਰਵਿ ਰਹੈ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ ॥
ahinis hirdai rav rahai nirbha-o naam nirankaar.
The one who gets colored in His love, feels the Divine in his heart all the time.
Please feel the Divine’s vibrating power in the heart area by becoming dead. The body should be lifeless which would mean that we have surrendered the body to Him. If we are not feeling anything that means our consciousness is engaged in thinking.
Dhaarnaa:
ਵੇ ਦਿਲ ਬਾਗੀਂ ਆ ਸੱਜਣਾ
vay dil baageeN aa sajnaa
ਨਾਲ ਆਉਣ ਤੇਰੇ ਇਸ਼ਕ ਹਵਾਵਾਂ
naal a-oun tayray ishq havaavaaN
Come to the garden of my heart so I can be reborn out of you.
ਬੋਲੀ ਵਾਹ ਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਲਵਾਂ ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਸਿੱਖ
bolee vaah vaah dee lavaaN jay maiN sikh
ਬਣਾਂ ਨਵਾਂ ਇਕ ਬਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ
banaa navaaN ik baal maiN manukh
If I learn the language of Wah, Wah (how wonderful, how wonderful!), then out of language, that sound, I would be given a new birth.
ਰੱਬੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਮਖ਼ਮੂਰ
rabee mahimaa day vich makhmoor
If I remain absorbed in feeling Him and witnessing His glorious creation within me and throughout the universe.
ਅਨਦਿਨ ਅਨੰਦ ਤੇ ਸਚ ਸਰੂਰ
andin anand tay sach saroor
Then all the time I would remain intoxicated with the drug of ishq.
ਕਦੇ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਵੀ ਪੱਕਣ ਦੁਆਵਾਂ
kaday meri-aaN vee pakan du-aa-vaaN
ਵੇ ਦਿਲ ਬਾਗੀਂ ਆ ਸਜਣਾ
vay dil baagheeN aa sajnaa
May my prayers bear fruit and you come to the garden of my heart.
Please keep feeling Him, stay with Him.
Maharaj Ji says:
keetaa pasaa-o ayko kavaa-o.
tis tay ho-ay lakh daree-aa-o.
He started countless rivers - river of humans, river of doves, river of parrots, horses, grass, grapes - countless rivers, and in every river He is vibrating at a different frequency. In every family of creation - it could be the family of humans, cows, donkeys, doves, flies - in every family He is vibrating at a different speed and all those different frequencies of vibrations of everything in the universe are happening within us.
ਜੋ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡੇ ਸੋਈ ਪਿੰਡੇ ਜੋ ਖੋਜੈ ਸੋ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
jo barahmanday so-ee pinday jo khojai so paavai.
Initially we understand that God is operating in every thing in the universe and He is also operating within this body, but this is understanding it in broad terms. In subtle terms, Maharaj Ji is saying that the whole universe is within this body; all those frequencies of vibrations are happening within us. We cannot even come close to understanding these things. There are countless frequencies of vibrations within us and each vibration has a different sound. The air has a different sound, water has a different sound, the nightingale has a different sound; all sounds are produced from vibrations, and all those frequencies of vibrations are within us. How strange! The whole universe is within God and the universe is within you. Don’t think that you are just a 5-6 foot tall and a 1-2 ft wide structure of bones, veins, and blood.
Our true self dwells in this village (pind). Let’s sing this dhaarnaa, talking to our true self.
Dhaarnaa:
ਪਿੰਡ ਤੇਰੇ ਮੈਂ ਰੋਜ ਆਉਂਦੀ
pind tayray maiN roj a-ouNdee
ਤੂੰ ਤੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਸਦੀ
tooN tay kitay nahee disdee
ਮਿਲ ਸਜਣਾ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਆਉਂਦੀ
mil sajnaa nooN murh a-ouNdee
Oh, my true self, every day I come into your village; I have been told that you live in this village but I never see you. I only see your beautiful intimate friend; I meet Him every day and come back.
There is a letter from sangat. Dear Baba Ji, you have mentioned to do Nitnem and listen to Khajana Darshan everyday. I missed some days but watched Khajana Darshan for hours alone while working or when everyone was sleeping. You also mentioned listening to Khajana Darshan multiple times. I have found that listening multiple times really helps understand as much as this soul can understand. Sometimes a feeling comes as if there is no hope or feeling lost that I won’t be crossing over the terrifying world ocean.
Why not, dear son! We are all just like you, perhaps weaker than you. Whoever listens to Him and then does what He asks us to do - we will cross over! Do not let this thought come to your mind; this is the mind tricking you that quit this, you are not going to make it. Be careful, it is your mind, it is not you.
Sometimes this feeling comes while listening to keertan or Khajana Darshan. Is it normal to start crying or have tears while listening to keeertan or Khajana Darshan, or being alone with Guru Ji in Darbar Sahib or just alone anywhere ?
Dear child, it is very normal. Our true self is very emotional, very loving, very gentle, very fragile.
Is it bad to think how lucky the sangat that writes letters to you, they experience all the things you talk about. Is it bad to think about how lucky they are ? I also wish to feel the same feelings.
Beta, how can that be bad. See how the mind is trying to mislead you that how can these people be lucky! You will surely feel those feelings. In fact, you can do it right now if you are fully present.
The letter from the sangat in New Zealand in which the writer said he wants to surrender and come in His will but it is very difficult. Then he said, sometimes you say it is the easiest thing to do and sometimes you say it is the most difficult thing. I am confused. We will ponder over this tomorrow since there is not enough time today. But for now, I just want to say that consciousness that is simple and innocent - if He says hear Me, they hear, if He says obey what I say, they obey - these type of consciousness which hear what He says, obey what He says, and then do what He asks them to do - it is very easy for them. The amazing thing is that there is nothing to do; just surrender to Him the body and mind that used to be in stress and move away from it. Is there anything easier than this ? When there is nothing to do then how can there be something easier than this. Think about it - this is about doing nothing!

ਤੇ ਗੱਲਾਂ, ਨਿੱਜ ਦੀਆਂ, ਅੱਜ ਚੱਲੀਆਂ ਵੇ
tay galaaN nij dee-aaN aj chali-aaN vay
ਡਾਢੀ ਘੁੱਟ ਕੇ ਫੜੀ ਓਸ ਬਾਂਹ ਸਾਡੀ
dadhee ghut kay farhee os baaNh saadee
ਤੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਢੁੱਕ ਬਹੰਨੀਆਂ ਵੇ
tay kol aapnay dhuk bahani-aaN vay
The ishq caught hold of me firmly within; it caught hold of me by my arm and made me sit so closely within.
ਐਸਾ ਨਾਦ ਪਿਆਇਆ ਫਿਰ ਓਸ ਸਾਨੂੰ
aisa naad pi-aa-i-aa fir os saanoo
ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਾ ਜਾਂ ਸੋਚਾਂ ਘੁਮੰਨੀਆਂ ਵੇ
pataa lagaa jaaN sochaaN ghumani-aaN vay
He made me drink the song of ishq, the Celestial Music, and my understanding about everything changed.
