2547 - Khajana Darshan March 29, 2023 – Paris, France (English Translation)

ੴ ਸਤਿਨਾਮ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਜੂਨੀ ਸੈਭੰ ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ॥
॥ ਜਪੁ॥
ਆਦਿ ਸਚੁ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਸਚੁ। ॥ ਹੈ ਭੀ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਹੋਸੀ ਭੀ ਸਚੁ॥
Some of the sangat who came from Canada were telling me that they arranged with great difficulty for four days to come and be in the holy congregation.
ਬਿਨੁ ਭਾਗਾ ਸਤਸੰਗੁ ਨ ਲਭੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਮੈਲੁ ਭਰੀਜੈ ਜੀਉ
bin bhaagaa satsang na labhai bin sangat mail bhareejai jee-o
Maharaj ji says that without good fortune, no one can find a holy congregation. No one can find a holy congregation without His grace. And without the holy congregation, He says, our consciousness becomes more and more polluted with the worldly thoughts. It becomes more and more firmly planted in the world. It becomes increasingly difficult to get out of the cycle of birth and death. It is the nature of our consciousness that it cannot be stagnant; either it will rise up with His grace, or it will spread and establish deeper roots in the world. The moments when we forget our Beloved, our consciousness is becoming polluted with worldly thoughts and becoming more firmly planted in the world. So, we must feel immense gratitude to Him that He arranged for all of us to come together in this holy congregation at the feet of the Satguru.
ਬਿਨੁ ਭਾਗਾ ਸਤਸੰਗੁ ਨ ਲਭੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਮੈਲੁ ਭਰੀਜੈ ਜੀਉ
bin bhaagaa satsang na labhai bin sangat mail bhareejai jee-o
Our consciousness becomes polluted; more and more dirt enters into our consciousness. Youth especially, we must stay away from the dirt of the media, social media; that is all dirt. We open ourselves to the dirt, and we inadvertently keep absorbing the dirt.
There are many things which must be very clear to us, crystal clear! That understanding makes us stronger against our minds. Yesterday, we were saying that a disciple or a Sikh becomes pregnant with the mystique. Let us please come at the naval point; totally, completely focused and feel what we feel there with profound sensitivity.
If somebody asks us what happens when you meditate, and we say that I feel the Divine, and the person asks whom do you call Divine, what is Divine, what would be our answer? Whom do we call the Divine, God? These are the things which we do not even stop to think about. These things must be very clear to us. Maharaj Ji says in Japji Sahib:
jay ha-o jaanaa aakhaa naahee kahnaa kathan na jaa-ee
Maharaj Ji says even if I know, even if I feel God within, it cannot be talked about, it cannot be even named. Somebody gave the name God, Parmatma, Allah, so many names. Guru Nanak Dev Ji, in His tenth appearance, in Jaap Sahib, names about 800 names of that Being - 199 paurhee’s, each paurhee has four names of that nameless. We must understand this please. What we feel is mystery and that is the mystery of life and existence. You can give it any name, that is immaterial. People fight over the name you give to Him. It’s a mystery! He says I cannot say anything about that mystery, it’s a mystery; mystery of life, mystery of existence. Who are we? We are that mystery; that thing created us, is keeping us alive, the entire creation has been created by this thing, it runs everything, makes new and destroys the old. And, this is the greatest mystery of life,the greatest mystery of existence, the greatest miracle!
When we feel that power (if you will), we should not have any illusion that we have known something big; we have not known anything; we have just felt some aliveness; we have felt something that dances, moves up, down, left, right, sometimes it expands, sometimes it shrinks, sometimes it becomes as big as the universe. We just feel aliveness, tremendous aliveness! Guru Nanak Dev Ji in His fifth appearance (at 1385 Ang of Guru Granth Sahib), He says:
ਬ੍ਯ੍ਯਾਪਤੁ ਦੇਖੀਐ ਜਗਤਿ ਜਾਨੈ ਕਉਨੁ ਤੇਰੀ ਗਤਿ ਸਰਬ ਕੀ ਰਖ੍ਯ੍ਯਾ ਕਰੈ ਆਪੇ ਹਰਿ ਪਤਿ ॥
ba-yaapat daykhee-ai jagat jaanai ka-un tayree gat sarab kee rakh-yaa karai aapay har pat
Maharaj Ji says this entire creation - you, birds, animals, trees - countless things, even if we take any line of creation, say for instance take a Poplar tree. Poplar is not very popular here in Paris, so take any tree and there are innumerable trees of that kind on this Earth, and those trees have innumerable leaves but not a single leaf is repeated in its shape. This is a small thing.
keetaa pasaa-o ayko kavaa-o
tis tay ho-ay lakh daree-aa-o
He says there are thousands upon thousands of lines of creation. Maharaj Ji says can you describe it? Can we? What we cannot describe is called mystery.
ਬ੍ਯ੍ਯਾਪਤੁ ਦੇਖੀਐ ਜਗਤਿ ਜਾਨੈ ਕਉਨੁ ਤੇਰੀ ਗਤਿ ਸਰਬ ਕੀ ਰਖ੍ਯ੍ਯਾ ਕਰੈ ਆਪੇ ਹਰਿ ਪਤਿ ॥
ba-yaapat daykhee-ai jagat jaanai ka-un tayree gat sarab kee rakh-yaa karai aapay har pat
He says look around in the world, look at His creation, can anybody describe You? All the creation is created by you, it’s being run by you, you are the Lord of all your creation.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਹ ਸਰਿ ਅਤੁਲ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਭਰਿ ਪਰੈ ਹੀ ਤੇ ਪਰੈ ਅਪਰ ਅਪਾਰ ਪਰਿ ॥
amrit parvaah sar atul bhandaar bhar parai hee tay parai apar apaar par
Maharaj Ji says rivers of Amrit are flowing within us, from down below to the top, in the street of the present.
ਅਸਮਾਨ ਮ੍ਯ੍ਯਿਾਨੇ ਲਹੰਗ ਦਰੀਆ ਗੁਸਲ ਕਰਦਨ ਬੂਦ ॥
asmaan mi-yaanay lahang daree-aa gusal kardan bood
Maharaj Ji has uttered this in Persian language. Asmaan means sky, gusal means to take a bath. The sky starts above the earth so we are in the sky. He says, a river is flowing in the skies so we can bathe in it. That river is within us, starting at the root point, and goes through the naval point, heart, throat, over the nose, forehead, all the way to the tenth gate at the top.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਹ ਸਰਿ ਅਤੁਲ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਭਰਿ ਪਰੈ ਹੀ ਤੇ ਪਰੈ ਅਪਰ ਅਪਾਰ ਪਰਿ ॥
amrit parvaah sar atul bhandaar bhar parai hee tay parai apar apaar par
He says a stream of Amrit is running within. Amrit means that it transforms a mortal into an immortal. River of nectar is flowing continuously, ceaselessly, continuously, always on the go, always moving, moving with such grace, with tremendous aliveness, with the most beautiful gait - that river is flowing within. Feel the river climbing upwards from down below, in the presence. That river is full of life, alive, throbbing! She never stops. Please experience that. Become still, like a stone, sitting erect, still.
ਅਸਮਾਨ ਮ੍ਯ੍ਯਿਾਨੇ ਲਹੰਗ ਦਰੀਆ ਗੁਸਲ ਕਰਦਨ ਬੂਦ ॥
asmaan mi-yaanay lahang daree-aa gusal kardan bood
A river is flowing in the skies so we can bathe in it and clean the consciousness that has become dirty in the world.
Please come at the hirdaa (heart area) and feel the presence of the mystery.
Dhaarnaa:
ਜਾਂ ਦਿਲ ਬਾਗੀਂ ਆਇਓਂ ਸੱਜਣਾ, ਨਾਲ ਆਈਆਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਇਸ਼ਕ ਹਵਾਵਾਂ
jaaN dil baageeN aa-i-oN sajanaa, naal a-ee-aaN tayray ishq havaavaaN
Oh, my beloved, when you come at the hirdaa, my hirdaa becomes the garden of ishq because ishq comes with you.
ਪਿਆਰ ਤੇਰਾ ਵੇ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਆਵੇ
You make me feel yourself again and again and again, and that is your love, that is your Ishq.
Please feel the presence, the mystery, at the heart, moving in an anticlockwise direction. Some of us can feel Him, not only moving within in a circular motion, but outside too, around you.
Maharaj Ji says:
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਜਿਨਿ ਬਣਤ ਬਣਾਈ ॥
satgur pooraa bhayti-aa jin banat banaa-ee
I have seen the Guru who has created me and this entire creation.
ਚਉਗਿਰਦ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਰਾਮ ਕਾਰ ਦੁਖੁ ਲਗੈ ਨ ਭਾਈ ॥
cha-ugirad hamaarai raam kaar dukh lagai na bhaa-ee
He draws a line around me, a line of protection. He announces, without saying a word, by drawing a line around me, He announces that He is protecting me from all sides.
Dhaarnaa (continued):
ਉਦਾਲ਼ੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਉਹ ਚੱਕਰ ਲਗਾਵੇ, ਕਾਰ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਿਆ ਵਾਹਵੇ
udaalay saaday oh chakar lagaavay, kaar rakhi-aa jivayN pi-aa vaaHvay
He is moving outside me in a circular motion, protecting me from all sides.
ਸਾਨੂੰ ਛੂਹੇ ਤੇ ਨਾਲੇ ਸ਼ਰਮਾਵੇ
sanoo chhoohay tay naalay sharmaavay
He touches me very gently, shyly.
ਖੰਭਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਉਹ ਮੋਹ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਲਾਵੇ
khambhaaN vaalaa oh moh saanoo laavay
ਆਖੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੈਕੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉੱਡ ਜਾਣਾ, ਜਾਂ ਦਿਲ ਬਾਗੀਂ ਆਏਂ ਸੱਜਣਾ
aakhay naal laikay tainoo ud jaanaa, jaaN dil baageeN aa-ayN sajanaa
He is giving me the wings. He says let us fly out of this cage. Your world is not something beautiful, it’s a cage, let’s fly out of your cage. He has come to take me out of my cage.
ਨਾਲ ਆਈਆਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਇਸ਼ਕ ਹਵਾਵਾਂ, ਜਾਂ ਦਿਲ ਬਾਗੀਂ ਆਇਓਂ ਸੱਜਣਾ,
naal a-ee-aaN tayray ishq havaavaaN, jaaN dil baageeN aa-i-oN sajanaa
He says I have come to take you out of your cage, let us fly out of here, fly upward so that the world cannot reach you. The Divine takes us up, towards the tenth gate.

A sangat from Bolivia gave me this letter while we were leaving for Europe. He says:
Dear Baba Ji, looking at the dawn, the voices in my mind start singing. Everything I see is so beautiful just for being here. I hear the silence, but we all are singing with all our voices. There are so many colors but in reality I only see light. The wind caresses me, and the rain kisses me, I feel only love. Today, here now, it’s not me, it’s us, and through us, I feel the unity. I have so many questions, and thankfulness, humbleness, love are clues for the only answer. If life is short, and the death of my ego is slow, I’m not afraid because I am inspired by the wonderful mystery. I can feel it deep inside of me, a voice that sweetly fills me with life, that voice utters the name of my beloved. There is a voice within me, who keeps uttering the name of my beloved. Baba Ji, with much love and happiness, I want to tell you about something, about something beautiful and mysterious that happens to me. From day one of being here, I have had a strong inspiration; I want to enlighten myself and with the same strength I want to serve others, serving God like you do.
Ji, this desire is not going to remain. No desire is going to remain because desires are of the mind, desires are of our ego. Betay (dear son), in my case, I never had any desire, I was ordered to.
I know that maybe I will not make it in this lifetime, or in the next many lifetimes. But giving my life for this dream is what makes me feel good, what keeps me inspired. You inspire me, you make me feel stronger.
Betay, it’s God who inspires us, it’s God’s presence who makes us feel strong.
No matter how far my goal is, I’m not going to give up because I love this path. I want to stay close to you even in the distance. Please guide me. I am not the best, but I’m completely open to improving myself. With all love.
As we start coming close to ourselves, we start feeling love in everything.
Ji, with His grace, Maharaj ji has brought us from one end of the world to the other, and I’m so grateful to you all for blessing me with the dust of your feet.
ਸੁਣਿ ਮਨ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਿਆਰਿਆ ਮਿਲੁ ਵੇਲਾ ਹੈ ਏਹ ॥
sun man mitar pi-aari-aa mil vaylaa hai ayh
Maharaj Ji says, oh my dear friend my mind, listen to me; this is the time to meet our beloved in human life. Let us all sing!
Dhaarnaa:
ਸੁਣ ਵੇ ਮਨਾ ਨਹੀਉਂ, ਇੰਝ ਵੇ ਕਰੀਦਾ
sun vay manaa nahee-oN, injh vay kareedaa
ਹੋਠਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਦਿੱਲ ਚੰਨਾ, ਅਲੱਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਿਦਾ
hothaaN naaloN dil chanaa, vakh nahee kareedaa
ਕੁਦਰਤ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਹਾਂ ਮੈਂ, ਸਾਦੀ ਮਾਸੂਮ ਜਿਹੀ
kudrat daa hisaa haaN maiN saadee maasoom jihee
I am a part of His creation. His creation is natural, simple, and innocent, and I am part of His creation.
ਨਕਲੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਵੇ, ਪਾਪ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੀਦਾ
naklee banaun daa vay, paap nahee kareedaa
I am part of His creation. I am part of nature; I’m natural, simple and innocent. Please don’t make me false. Don’t make me false. By doing so you would be committing a sin. Don’t make me false.
ਸੁਣ ਵੇ ਮਨਾ ਨਹੀਉਂ, ਇੰਝ ਵੇ ਕਰੀਦਾ
