It has been only the truth; it is only the truth, and it is going to be only the truth. In the whole universe, it’s nothing but the truth taking different forms, different energies. Each one of us is God himself assuming these forms.
When we use our own mind, then God takes the back seat and lets us live the way we want. We don’t know how to live human life; we make wrong choices, and hence all the sufferings.
Today, during the time when the sangat was coming to let me behold them and bathe in the dust of their feet, some youth asked how we can use this emotional energy which makes us unpeaceful and all that. How to use that energy constructively and not waste it, and how to connect with God.
I was really impressed with their honesty and the capacity to see life in a truthful way, and I said both of your questions are actually one question. It is the sexual energy which Maharaj Ji takes us from down below and makes it rise upwards to meet God. It is that energy which makes us meet God. If we keep wasting it, wasting it, life gets wasted. That is actually the most beautiful energy. That is actually the energy of ishq, but when it was not appreciated, it took a different form. So it’s the sex energy which when transformed becomes ishq energy. It actually is ishq energy, but our mind brought it down to the lowest point in our bodies, and it became angry, and wasted our lives.
Another son of mine said that I have been hurt in a previous relationship, and I feel like hurting people. He was looking very depressed, sad. I said to him that what happened to you was not actually to hurt you, it was to teach you a very precious lesson. From that, we must learn that I don’t want to be like that person who causes hurt to others. I want to become somebody beautiful who wants to comfort others, who wants to help others become blissful, feel good about themselves, make them really feel happy, not hurt. When he heard these words, his face lit up and he smiled. So what is happening is that our children are begging for guidance; our children are begging for wisdom, real wisdom.
Abraham Lincoln always was so thirsty for wisdom, and he would read any book he could lay his hands on which would give him wisdom. He became very wise. But the real wisdom, the highest wisdom, the deepest wisdom, the most profound wisdom, God himself imparts us. God is our real friend. Guru Nanak Dev Ji calls him Sajan. Sajan - sa means beautiful, jan means somebody who is most beautiful. Guru Nanak Dev Ji calls Satguru through whom God speaks, the most beautiful being because He guides us and gives us the most beautiful wisdom. In the loving presence of the Guru, we feel like receiving guidance and His beautiful words. So we must turn to the Guru to receive wisdom on how to live human lives. He says listen to the True Guru; He is your best beautiful friend, and He says that the secret of a blissful, beautiful life is to be in ishq with God. He says:
mooN piree-aa sa-o nayhu ki-o sajan mileh pi-aari-aa.
I want to be in ishq with God, but I don’t know. I have heard that Guru tells you, Guru teaches you, Guru makes you to be in ishq with God but how can I meet Guru. How can I meet Guru because the law of nature is that you do not meet Guru; we cannot meet Guru, the Guru comes and meets us. It’s the Divine law. I want to be in ishq with God but where and how to meet Guru? I don’t know who is the True Guru, where to find him.
mooN piree-aa sa-o nayhu ki-o sajan mileh pi-aari-aa.
ha-o dhoodhaydee tin sajan sach savaari-aa.
I’m looking and looking for my dear friend whom God has beautified, whom God has decorated.
Guru Nanak Dev Ji says that Guru is the one whom God has beautified and decorated with God operating through him. So that’s why the Guru is beautified and decorated by the Divine lord.
The True Guru is my real friend who can guide me, who can teach me how to live human life, who can make me meet with my creator and be in ishq with Him, and thus have a beautiful, blissful, fulfilling life.
satgur maidaa mit hai jay milai ta ih man vaari-aa.
If I meet Him, I’m going to trade my mind consciousness, the thinking consciousness which keeps me worried, stressed, anxious, always thinking. If He meets me, then I’m happily going to trade this mindly consciousness which keeps me wandering everywhere; I am going to trade that mindly consciousness with the still-full consciousness.
I’m seeing that more sangat has arrived from Germany, Canada, America, England. Thank you so much for blessing us with your presence and with the dust of your feet. Yesterday I was sitting with this sangat in the kulee and I asked why do you think sangat from all over the world is here. Somebody said that because Bolivia is the heart of South America and heart attracts, so sangat is being attracted here. I said then there must be a heart of Europe, heart of Asia, heart of Africa; why don’t those hearts attract you? Then somebody said because it’s an exotic country; people speak a different language so they come here. God has not brought us here for holidays. No! He is God; He has brought us here for some most serious business. So, all this sangat, we have been talking about the holy dust of their feet; God has brought them here to bless me with the holy dust. He must have brought them here to bless them with much deeper knowledge and truth of life.
Dhaarnaa:
These days are so blessed! Oh my mother, from where have these days descended?
Dhoorhee chaar chufayri-oN mildee, ghut ghut gal naal laa-ay
He is sending me that precious dust from every direction, and the dust embraces me.
pahilaaN mukh tay pochaa fayray, fir nainee anjan laa-ay
First, that precious dust applies humility on my face and then it applies itself to my eyes as a corallium to change my way of seeing outside.
jiDhar vaykhaaN maNdar disday, vich maaHee-aa luki-aa maa-ay
Then wherever I look, I see His temples where my Beloved is hiding within.
Dhaarnaa (end)
This letter was given to me by a child of mine who came to join us in Europe. While leaving, this letter was given to me. He says: Dear Dad Ji, I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for reminding me to write notes everyday. Those of us who don’t, we must make notes of what Maharaj Ji tells us so that anytime we can hurriedly look at all that wisdom. By making notes, I understand and feel so much more of what is being said in the Khajana Darshan. It feels like the day goes by so beautifully. Even though Khajana Darshan is only for an hour or so, it takes more time to write notes. Plus, I have to relisten to many parts to understand more clearly. By doing so, I have fallen in love with the process and the results. I am glad it takes time to write, because I get to spend more time with my Beloved. I have started to have two books of notes; one for the current Khajana Darshan, and one for the prior years’ Khajana Darshan. At the present I’m at the year 2012. Now, whatever I hear during the Khajana Darshan, it strikes my heart’s cord or something. I did not know how much it would transform my consciousness just making notes, and how beautiful my life would become just by doing so. Love, your child.
Let us do mediation now. Please sit straight. Spine, neck and head should be all in one line, please. Maharaj Ji says:
chit simran kara-o nain avilokano sarvan baanee sujas poor raakha-o.
I keep the name of my Beloved in my consciousness, and with my eyes I look into the other world; means I look into my inner world with my closed eyes. He is telling us how to meditate. He says that while closing your eyes, keep the Divine’s name, whichever of His names is dear to you, in your consciousness. With closed eyes look within.
Then, He says that I keep my ears filled with His beautiful utterances. I do not let anything else enter into my ears except His beautiful utterances. How beautiful! He says this is how you become ready to go within. With closed eyes, looking within, keep remembering God, and keep what has just been said in our ears. So, while sitting straight, please look at the deepest point in our body; the membrane which touches the ground.
Guru Nanak Dev ji gives the word Waheguru for meditation. Wahe means wonderful, Guru means lord. It enlivens, it awakens our entire within. Wa the deepest point, He the heart, Gu the throat, and Ru is on top of the head. But we are going to do it a little easier today. So down there we are going to say Wah, and then immediately come up at the heart and say Guru there. Wah deep down, and when we say Wah we have to be there at the deepest point. Then, immediately come up at the heart area, and feel the Guru being said there. For the new sangat, if you find it hard to locate the heart area, then say Guru in your throat.
We all are going to do it together please. That makes it much more powerful. So, all of us please, we must remain together and not make our own sound separate. Let me do it for a minute at least before you join in.
Wah Guru, Wah Guru, Wah Guru, Wah Guru…..
Let us all do it just for one more minute but with all our might, to go beyond the mind, to go beyond this consciousness which keeps thinking, where there are no thoughts. We must become so intensely engaged in moving down below and up, below and up, below and up. There should be no room for any thought. If thoughts creep in into us, then that is not meditation. Just one minute please.
Wah Guru, Wah Guru, Wah Guru, Wah Guru…..
Now please feel from down below through the naval point, through the heart area to the throat. He calls this the Street of Ishq. He says if you want to play the game of ishq with me, then enter into my street. Please feel that street, alive!
Maharaj Ji makes the mind's energy rise upwards towards the house of God. The best time to do meditation is during the very early hours of the morning. At 4:30 every morning the sangat gets together to do the meditation. You would find the results just miraculous. Please, we all should come.
Dhaarnaa:
navaaN hee paraaHunaa ik, aa-i-aa saaday shahir nee…… navaaN hee paraaHunaa
un nuevo huésped llegó, a nuestra ciudad……..un nuevo huésped
Oh my mother, a new guest has arrived in our city. Have you heard that?
It sounded so beautiful (singing in Spanish). It felt like committing a sin to stop you from singing.
We have only 5-6 more days. Please come every evening and bond.
Now this song of joy and thankfulness to God uttered by Guru Nanak Dev Ji during his third appearance, while thanking God for blessing us with these moments with the true Guru, and letting us feel that when we become peaceful, how beautiful life feels!
Let us sing this while becoming totally awake.
anand bha-i-aa mayree maa-ay satguroo mai paa-i-aa.
Oh my mother, I met the true Guru, and today I am feeling so blissful.
