ੴ ਸਤਿਨਾਮ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਜੂਨੀ ਸੈਭੰ ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ॥

ਆਦਿ ਸਚੁ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਸਚੁ। ॥ ਹੈ ਭੀ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਹੋਸੀ ਭੀ ਸਚੁ॥
Please come at the forehead, in between the eyebrows.
samrath guroo sir hath Dhar-ya-o.
All powerful, my Guru, has placed His hand at my forehead and I feel it.
Siddhas question to Maharaj Ji:
ਕਿਉ ਤਤੈ ਅਵਿਗਤੈ ਪਾਵੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਲਗੈ ਪਿਆਰੋ ॥
ki-o tatai avigatai paavai gurmukh lagai pi-aaro.
Siddhas are asking Maharaj Ji you are saying in order to be one with the Divine, we have to become His lovers, aashiqs. How do you do that? How beautiful is the question.
Maharaj Ji is telling us about words; the day we realize the importance of words, even slightly, it is going to change our course and it’s going to change instantly. You may be changing clothes after showering and He puts a thought in you and that would change the course of your life; you would be different when you come out of the shower compared to when you went in. We are not here to receive some information. We are here to transform ourselves; to transform the human consciousness to super human consciousness, divine consciousness. How beautiful is this question that how do you become full of ishq.
This is not only about meeting God; someone may say I don’t want to meet God. It is about how to live life. God is going to meet us naturally if we walk on this path. Maharaj Ji is showing us the way; He calls this panth. Panth means path, not the destination. But it is amazing that when you start walking in the path you are at the destination. Walking on the path is the destination.
Guru Nanak Dev Ji answers the Siddhas. He says:
ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਸਾਚੁ ਕਮਾਵੈ ਗਤਿ ਮਿਤਿ ਸਬਦੇ ਪਾਈ ॥
pooray gur tay saach kamaavai gat mit sabday paa-ee.
He says you have to earn that; you cannot borrow it from somewhere or buy it from somewhere, you have to earn it. The Guru tells you the way. You have to earn it!
Whosoever has heard the word, to earn the truth. Through earning the truth, you become ishq.

While earning the truth, you will come to know what ishq is and how infinite it is because that is God himself.
Those who heard what the Guru is saying. There is a letter from a daughter of mine from Canada: Baba Ji, life has become so blessed. Everyday I reflect on myself and my shortcomings. I go with the strength to improve myself, moment by moment.She’s writing that my Beloved did not allow; it was not His will for me to come to Fresno. I pray to Him that may He take me to sangat in Calgary. Had he brought me to Fresno, California, I wouldn’t have taken much room in the holy congregation or much place to sleep in. This is ishq!

ਅਣਸੋਚੀ ਹੋਣੀ ਜਦੋਂ…… ਵਰਤੀ ਸੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੇ….. ਜਿਉਂ ਪਰਲੋ ਭੁਚਾਲ ਗਿਆ ਆ

Last time, I sang that when that rubber-like baby enters his body, enters into the world, he had never ever thought or imagined this. For him, it was like the end of the world.
ਨਿਕਲੀ ਸੀ ਡਾਢ ਐਸੀ…….ਜਿੰਦ ਜਿਉਂ ਨਿਕਲ ਜਾਣੀ…..ਜਿੰਨਾ ਸੁਣੀ ਕਦੇ ਸਕੇ ਨਾ ਭੁਲਾ
niklee see daadh aisee….jind jioN nikal jaanee….jinaa sunee kaday sakay naa bhulaa
Such an abrupt shriek, cry comes out of him that whosoever hears that cry can never forget it.
ਸਦਮਾ ਸੀ ਐਸਾ ਓਹੋ…….ਹਾਏ ਮਾਏ ਮੇਰੀਏ ਨੀ…ਜੀਹਨੇ ਆਂਦਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਕੰਬਾ
sadmaa see aisaa o-ho…haa-ay maa-ay mayree-ay nee…..jeeHnay aaNdraaN noo ditaa see kambaa
To enter into this world, leaving his mother’s womb where he was one with her, was the biggest shock of his life.
Maharaj Ji says:
ਦੁਕਾਲੰ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਸੀ ਦਿਆਲੰ ਸਰੂਪੇ ॥
dukaalaN pranaasee di-aalaN saroopay
dukaalaN means two events, two major times.
There are two major shocks in life - one during birth and another during death. God eliminates both of those times and takes us out of the cycle of birth and death.
Oh my mother, that shock of entering into this world was such a shock to my entire insides as if an earthquake came in within me; not outside of me, but within me.
ਅਜੀਬ ਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਅਵਾਜਾਂ ਤੇ…ਅਜਨਬੀ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ….ਜਿੰਦ ਨਿੱਕੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਬੇਬਸ ਸਾਂ
ajeeb jihee-aaN avaajaaN tay…..ajnabee hathaaN vich….jind nikee jihee baybas saaN
As soon as I entered this world, I heard strange voices, and some strange hands grabbed me. I was so tender and those hands were not that tender. I don’t think they should have touched me.
Strange voices, and strange hands that were not that tender, grabbed me. And I, the little one, felt so helpless there.

akhree naam akhree saalaah.

Maharaj Ji says when you speak it’s in words, when you hear its words, when thoughts come to you its words - words are inside you, words are outside you. You never thought about that; you were too busy thinking about who’s a friend and who is a foe, who did what to you; you never paid attention to what is happening with you.

Maharaj Ji says it is words that are uttered by the Guru when He says you will meet God.
Every word we hear, every word we read, every word that comes as a thought affects our consciousness. Our destiny is being shaped by these words.The words you deem as nothing and in sleep you keep reading the words that come to you on the phone or TV can either build or demolish our destiny. Our destiny depends on the words that we are passing through, the words that we are surrounded by.
He says the words are shaping your destiny; the words you hear, the words you speak, the words you read, the words who you remain full of with thoughts, they are shaping your destiny. They are not just abc’s.
ਜਿਨਿ ਏਹਿ ਲਿਖੇ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਿਰਿ ਨਾਹਿ ॥
jin ayhi likhay tis sir naahi.
He says, only God is not affected by words. Please understand this. We are affected by every word; either it will lay a new brick in our destiny or it will demolish the existing bricks in our destiny. Please understand these things deeply and make lengthy notes so we become alert. We have formed a habit of talking or listening to futile things. We never understood what the story is about.
Ji, we are either parents or children. Maharaj Ji will help us understand that a child who comes into this world - truly who was that? We are going in that direction now. We have seen that he comes into this world and is shocked. We will see what happens next.
Children and not just little beings. People start distributing sweets when a baby is born. But we don’t know what is this thing that came into our house? There is story about a child that I want to share with you:
During the 1920's, in a small village in the state of Florida, there was a boy. He would watch news on TV, and every so often he would hear that Russia is America’s enemy. He would wonder, why are they our enemies? There would be children in Russia, why would they be my enemies? I don’t understand. He found it hard to believe that they were his enemies. He wrote a short note: Dear comrade in Russia, I’m 7 years old and I believe that we can live in peace. I want to be your friend, not your enemy. Will you become my friend? Will you become my friend and write to me? Then he closed the letter with love and peace, signed his name, folded the paper, and put that in an empty bottle, and threw that into a small river flowing nearby. What happened then was that somebody found that bottle at the seashore a few months later. He opened the bottle, read the note, and was amazed. He sent that note to the local newspaper. This news spread, reached the TV stations, and all the TV stations in America read the note from that child. Russia heard it; they invited that child with his family to Russia. The family went there with the child, they met the Russian people, Russian children, and all those Russian children loved him and embraced him, and said we are going to be lifelong friends. He came back very impressed. That trip to Russia imprinted on his consciousness and later on when he grew up, he worked for peace. In the 1980s, Ronald Reagan, President of America, and Mikhail Gorbachev, President of Russia, met in Iceland and reached an agreement by which a big part of their nuclear arsenal was destroyed. This happened mainly because of this child who started this. So, we should always remember and respect the children; only God knows what potential he or she has.

Oh my beautiful friend, we are moving towards our destination but the destination is faraway. When do you think we will arrive there? This is also a begging to the Divine that please take me to the destination.
ਭਿਨਕ ਪਵੇ ਤੇਰੀ….ਕੰਨਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੂਹੇ ਉੱਤੇ
bhinak pavay tayree…kannaN vaalay boohay utay
I hear some sound with my ears, saaN saaN, something like chhan chhan, maybe the destination has come.
ਆਹਟ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਦੇਵੇ……ਸੁੰਨੇ ਸੁੰਨੇ ਪਿੰਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ
aahat sunaa-ee dayvay…..sunay sunay pinday utay
I feel somebody is walking upward along my spine. I hear the sound of footsteps, and I feel them.
