ੴ ਸਤਿਨਾਮ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਜੂਨੀ ਸੈਭੰ ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ॥
॥ ਜਪੁ॥
ਆਦਿ ਸਚੁ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਸਚੁ। ॥ ਹੈ ਭੀ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਹੋਸੀ ਭੀ ਸਚੁ॥
ਹਿਰਦੈ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਧੁਨਿ ਉਪਜੀ ਹਰਿ ਜਪੀਐ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਭਾਗੁ ਜੀਉ ॥
hirdai har har har Dhun upjee har japee-ai mastak bhaag jee-o.
Please come at the hirdaa (heart area).
ਇਕੁ ਸਜਣੁ ਸਭਿ ਸਜਣਾ ਇਕੁ ਵੈਰੀ ਸਭਿ ਵਾਦਿ ॥
ik sajan sabh sajnaa ik vairee sabh vaad.
Maharaj Ji says that if you have pleased the Divine, and He has become your intimate friend, then the whole world is your intimate friend. If you have made Him displeased with you, if you have made Him angry with you, then the whole world is going to become your enemy.
He says if the Divine is not happy with you, then the world outside is also going to be unhappy with you, quarrelsome with you. They will argue with you, they won’t respect you or listen to you.
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਦੇਖਾਲਿਆ ਵਿਣੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਸਭ ਬਾਦਿ ॥
gur poorai daykhaali-aa vin naavai sabh baad.
Maharaj Ji says that the True Guru, by uniting me with the Divine within, made me peaceful, still. Then He asked me: Look outside, do you see anybody peaceful? Do you see anybody really content? Do you see anybody truly happy? They all are unpeaceful; they all are running around with their ego; nobody is peaceful.
ਸਾਕਤ ਦੁਰਜਨ ਭਰਮਿਆ ਜੋ ਲਗੇ ਦੂਜੈ ਸਾਦਿ ॥
saakat durjan bharmi-aa jo lagay doojai saad.
saakat means egoistic, those who want to become big, powerful - any type of power, that may be power of money, political power, or power of any art.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਬੁਝਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
jan naanak har parabh bujhi-aa gur satgur kai parsaad.
Please feel the Divine at the hirdaa.
With the True Guru’s grace, one becomes united with the Lord. One recognises the Lord within because of the Guru’s grace.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਬੁਝਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

Please feel the presence of the Divine there, moving in an anti-clockwise direction.
Maharaj Ji is telling us who we are.

ਆਖੇਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਬਾਤ ਪਾਵਾਂ…..ਅੱਜ ਇੱਕ ਸੱਜਣਾ ਵੇ…..ਤੇ ਤੂੰ…..ਰੱਖੀਂ ਉਸ ਬਾਤ ਦਾ ਨਾਅ
aakhayN taaN maiN baat paavaaN …..aj ik sajanaa vay……tay tooN…..rakheeN us baat daa naa
ਸਦਮਾ ਸੀ ਐਸਾ ਓਹੋ…….ਹਾਏ ਮਾਏ ਮੇਰੀਏ ਨੀ…ਜੀਹਨੇ ਆਂਦਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਕੰਬਾ
sadmaa see aisaa o-ho…haa-ay maa-ay mayree-ay nee…..jeeHnay aaNdraaN noo ditaa see kambaa
We saw that after the child enters into the world, he’s shocked and so frightened.
Then suddenly something happens within him. The child doesn’t have any knowledge of his senses. He can only feel it, and what he feels inside, we’ll see that tomorrow.
ਫਿਰ ਅੰਦਰੇ ਹੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਖੇਡ ਇੱਕ ਵਰਤੀ ਸੀ…..ਜੀਹਨੇ ਚੁੱਪ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਰਾ

ਇੰਦਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ….ਕੁੱਝ ਵੀ ਪਤਾ ਉਦੋਂ….ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਹੀ ਕਰਦੀ ਸਾਂ
indree-aaN daa nahee see…..kujh vee pataa odoN…..mahisoos hee kardee saaN
The child has no thinking process yet; he cannot think, he can only feel, and he has no knowledge of his senses yet. Tomorrow we will see what happens within him that he calms down.
There is a letter from a daughter of mine from British Columbia. She writes that I can clearly see that if Maharaj Ji didn’t meet me then I would be wandering aimlessly in the world. I would have the worldly things but my insides would be empty. Usually Maharaj Ji takes me to the hirdaa and he shows me a lot of water, like a big river or an ocean. Then I see a very beautiful, very lovely lotus flower blossom. I don’t know what it is, but when I go there, I feel so blissful and so peaceful.
Let us come to the hirdaa.
ਜਿਨੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਤਿਨੀ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ॥
jinee satgur sayvi-aa tinee paa-i-aa naam niDhaan.
Those who came to the refuge of the True Guru, those who are in love with the True Guru, they have found the Divine within. The treasure of all true virtues.
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਚੂਕਾ ਮਨਿ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ॥
antar har ras rav rahi-aa chookaa man abhimaan.
I feel I’m drenched with His presence within and I have become totally humble. There is no trace of ego.
ਹਿਰਦੈ ਕਮਲੁ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸਿਆ ਲਾਗਾ ਸਹਜਿ ਧਿਆਨੁ ॥
hirdai kamal pargaasi-aa laagaa sahj Dhi-aan.
At the hirdaa, the lotus flower has blossomed and I’m totally grounded there, rooted there, and my consciousness is at peace.
Please go deep. Sahaj is that state of our consciousness where no thought can arise from our consciousness. It remains totally absorbed in feeling God.
Please feel the water-like substance moving at the hirdaa. And also, we would also feel or see the Divine light with closed eyes.
More still please; deeper, deeper. Feel the movement; it is like water.
Maharaj Ji tells us what this is:
ਨਾਉ ਨੀਰੁ ਚੰਗਿਆਈਆ ਸਤੁ ਪਰਮਲੁ ਤਨਿ ਵਾਸੁ ॥
naa-o neer chang-aa-ee-aa sat parmal tan vaas.
It is not water like we see outside. It is the Divine light but it moves like water. If doctors try to find water they won’t find any water there, but you can feel it.
Maharaj Ji says that the water which you feel at the hirdaa is the Divine Himself who has taken the form of water of Divine virtues.
ਤਾ ਮੁਖੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਉਜਲਾ ਲਖ ਦਾਤੀ ਇਕ ਦਾਤਿ ॥
taa mukh hovai ujlaa lakh daatee ik daat.
One who keeps taking a bath in this water, starts to see that I am Divine light - jotee. He says this blessing is so immense, so great that it is like hundreds of thousands of blessings.
We are in the process.
We are in the process.
The writer says it feels like a river or ocean. This water-like substance we feel is ishq. Is it His ishq or ishq? Ishq, because He is ishq.
Dhaarnaa
ਮਾਏ ਨੀ ਮਾਏ….. ਨੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਸ਼ਕ ਨੇ ਹੱਥ…. ਛੁਹਾਇਆ
maa-ay nee maa-ay…. nee saanoo ishq nay hath…. chhuhaa-i-aa
Oh my mother, I have been touched by the ishq and this touch is so unique. I have started feeling the ishq in me.
ਜੈਸਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੁਣੀਦਾ ਤੈਸੋ ਹੀ ਮੈ ਡੀਠੁ ॥
jaisaa satgur suneedaa taiso hee mai deeth.
ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੋ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਦਾ ਕਟੇ ਹਉਮੈ ਰੋਗੁ ॥
har naamo mantar darirhaa-idaa katay ha-umai rog.
Guru makes us remain within. He insists that you must remain within until it becomes your way of life.
ਹੁਸਨ ਬਖਸ਼ੇ ਉਹ ਹੌਂਸਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨੀ…….ਤੇ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਤਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਖਰਾਇਆ
husan bakh-shay oh houNsli-aaN noo nee…….tay drirh-taa daa sikhraa-i-aa
He empowers the courage in us. The ishq empowers us with courage and that is the pinnacle of determination. It’s the peak of determination.
Please stay at the hirdaa.
I’m so grateful to God for all of us, especially for the youth whom God has taken them in His lap in their early years.
I was telling the story of Mr. J.C. Penney. He was a clerk in Denver Colorado at Jocelyn Dry Goods Store working for 6 dollars a week. He dreamt about making 100 thousand dollars. He opened his own store, worked very hard. His wife was the backbone of the business, very intelligent, very strong, determined, and courageous. He accumulated a hundred thousand dollars. Then he thought it’s not enough, I should be a millionaire. He became a millionaire, and then a multi millionaire. It was in his advanced years that his wife caught pneumonia, and passed away. He says his life collapsed around him; he was left with nothing, the business went bankrupt. He writes that he felt life was mocking at him, even God was mocking at him. He said that’s when I turned to God. I was totally sincere; God accepted me and took me within. I felt enlightened and became very peaceful. I had never felt that peace, that comfort, that contentment when I was a multi-millionaire. This was the first time I understood the purpose of human life.
I was saying that I’m also proud of you that you opened your hearts to Maharaj Ji. I’m especially proud of my young sons and daughters who were wise enough, far sighted enough, peaceful enough, humble enough, beautiful enough to recognize that life without this is barren. We can witness it all around.

ਵੇ ਸੋਹਣਿਆ…..ਮੰਜਲਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੂਰ….ਕਦੋਂ ਆਉਣੀਆਂ
vay sohni-aa….manjalaaN nay door….kadoN aa-ouni-aaN
Oh my beautiful friend, we are moving towards our destination but the destination is faraway. When do you think we will arrive there? This is also a begging to the Divine that please take me to the destination.

ਚਿੱਟੇ ਚਿੱਟੇ ਰੂਪ ਤੇਰੇ…… ਬੜੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ
chitay chitay roop tayray……barhay sohnay lagday
The Divine light of white colors that is your form, my Beloved. How pure, how beautiful it looks!
Please feel the Divine light.
ਵਾਜੇ ਵੇ ਪਿਆਰਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ…..ਸੁਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਠੱਗਦੇ
vaajay vay pi-aaraaN vaalay….surtee noo thagday
And that Celestial Music of yours my Beloved, it just robs me.

Oh my Beloved, when is my ishq going to blossom?
