ੴ ਸਤਿਨਾਮ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਜੂਨੀ ਸੈਭੰ ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ॥
॥ ਜਪੁ॥
ਆਦਿ ਸਚੁ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਸਚੁ। ॥ ਹੈ ਭੀ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਹੋਸੀ ਭੀ ਸਚੁ॥
Please come at the forehead in between the eyebrows; fully focused.
sahj gufaa meh aasan baaDhi-aa.
gufaa - cave
sahj gufaa - a cave which is totally peaceful, tranquil. That’s where I am sitting. Then what happens?
jot saroop anaahad vaaji-aa.
That cave is the cave of Divine light and Celestial Music. I sit and the Divine makes a cave around me - a cave of Divine light and Celestial Music. The Divine light is emanating from us.
Please hear the Celestial Music and feel the Divine light which is emanating out of us; it is not separate from us. We are the house of that Divine light; this body is the house of that Divine light. Those of us who don’t yet feel the Divine light, please just imagine it. It’s not the wrong imagination; it’s the right imagination. This body whom we call me, it is His house.
Please stay in this cave made of the Divine light and Divine music.
sahj gufaa meh aasan baaDhi-aa.
jot saroop anaahad vaaji-aa.
Please make yourself as small as possible. Feel that we are just like a mustard seed at the forehead, feeling Him and hearing the music.
mahaa anand gur sabad veechaar.
Without uttering, let’s please keep reciting our Beloved’s name with utmost love and gratitude.
Let yourself go to sleep. Let there be just the music and light. See that the Divine light and Celestial Music surrounds the mustard seed from all sides, and eventually even the seed does not remain. Become lost in feeling and hearing. That light is the light of ishq; that music is the music of ishq; that song is the song of ishq. By remaining in His aura, we become imbued with Him. When we feel the Divine light and Celestial Music all around us, we are being embraced by Him; imbued with our Beloved.
ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਸਿਉ ਰਾਤੀ ਧਨ ਸੋਹਾਗਣਿ ਨਾਰਿ ॥
pari-a si-o raatee Dhan sohagan naar.
Imbued with our Beloved - Maharaj Ji says that’s how a Dhan sohagan naar is - one who is married to Him, our true self. But we rarely come knocking at its door. Now we have to learn to live in this house. This is the womb of the True Guru. As we start dwelling in it, He starts transforming us into our real self; rebirth.
Now, while staying at the forehead, please come to the hirdaa. We must be present at both the points. If we are focusing correctly, then we would feel a pull at the hirdaa upwards. This pull is created by Anhad Naad (Celestial Music). We feel that we hear the Celestial Music at the ears but in fact it gets registered at our hirdaa.

ਅੱਧੀ ਰਾਤੀ ਖਾਬਾਂ ਵਿਚ… ਆਣ ਕੇ ਜਗਾਵੇ ਕਿਹੜਾ…. ਸਮਝ ਨਾ ਆਵੇ…. ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੌਣ ਨੀ
aDhee raatee khaabaaN vich…. aankay jagaavay kih-rhaa….. samajh naa aavay mainoo
ਖਿੱਚਦੀ ਕਲੇਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ….ਸੈਨਤ ਉਹਦੀ ਅੰਮੀਏ ਨੀ….ਬੋਲੀ …..ਨੈਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਖਾਵੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕੌਣ ਨੀ

The Divine light and Divine music is He Himself. My Beloved glances at my hirdaa, and my hirdaa gets attracted to Him, gravitated to Him, like iron becomes pulled by the magnet.

He is teaching me the language of the eyes; not these eyes, but the inner eyes. Who is He?
Please stay there. Now we are to practice how to stay with Him even when we are in the world or listening to a worldly conversation.

I was telling a piece of history that during the Second World War, Mr. Dwight Eisenhower was the supreme commander of the Allied Forces. The day for the D-day was fixed when the Allied Forces were to invade France, to free it from the hands of Hitler. Mr. Eisenhower thought of changing the date and time. He said, I was not wise enough to make a decision which was going to have a direct effect on millions and millions of people’s lives. Then I remembered that my mother always told me to pray to God to help us make decisions. I was frightened; my consciousness was totally focused; I prayed to Him and He showed me the decision. I trusted Him, followed His instructions and that invasion was successful
So, we should always please remain in the presence of God. Then our lives remain guided by Him.

ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੰਨਦਾ ਏ ਓਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਨਾ ਜੋਗਿਆ
jivayN mandaa ay os noo manaa jogee-aa
From previous deewaan: Whatever it takes to make my wedding with my Beloved happen, please make it happen. Whatever it takes, whatever He asks, tell Him I will do that.
ਆਖ ਉਹਨੂੰ ਉਹਦੇ ਬਾਝੋਂ ਦਿਲ ਨਹੀਓਂ ਲਗ਼ਦਾ
aakh oHnoo oHday baajhoN dil nahee-o lagdaa
Please tell Him that I miss Him; I don’t feel at home without Him.
ਜੱਗ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮੂਲੋਂ ਨਹੀਓਂ ਸੱਜਦਾ
jag naal rahinaa saanoo mooloN nahioN sajdaa
I don’t want to even entertain the possibility of remaining in the world.
ਸਾਨੂੰ ਈ ਪਤਾ ਏ ਕਿਵੇਂ…..ਠੁੱਡੇ ਠੇਡੇ ਖਾ ਕੇ ਤੇ
saanoo ee pataa ay kivayN thuday thayday khaa kay tay
Only I know how after stumbling again and again…..
ਮਸਾਂ ਲੱਭਿਆ ਏ ਤੇਰਾ ਇਹ ਗਿਰਾਂ ਜੋਗੀਆ
masaaN labhi-aa ay tayraa ih giraaN jogee-aa
…..I have barely found Your village, oh my dear Guru, the uniter.
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੰਨਦਾ ਏ ਓਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਨਾ ਜੋਗਿਆ
jivayN mandaa ay os noo manaa jogee-aa
From previous deewaan: Whatever it takes to make my wedding with my Beloved happen, please make it happen. Whatever it takes, whatever He asks, tell Him I will do that.

As we are waking up to the truth of this life, our goals, our destination, our purpose of life changes, and life becomes so beautiful. We must stay in gratitude all the time. Everyday we might encounter moments, where we would feel that I have been hurt but Maharaj Ji says never become resentful; just remain focused on your own self that you have a long way to go. You don’t have time to waste on resentments. Maharaj Ji says:
ਰੋਸੁ ਨ ਕਾਹੂ ਸੰਗ ਕਰਹੁ ਆਪਨ ਆਪੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ॥
ros na kaahoo sang karahu aapan aap beechaar.
Do not be resentful towards anyone. Remain busy, remain absorbed in knowing your true self.
ਹੋਇ ਨਿਮਾਨਾ ਜਗਿ ਰਹਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਦਰੀ ਪਾਰਿ ॥
ho-ay nimaanaa jag rahhu naanak nadree paar.
Do not be resentful towards anyone. Remain humble and uncomplaining. The Divine would love you if you remain that way. You may have power - power of money, position, intelligence, power of some talent, but feel that you are powerless; this is the sign of humility. Remain humble, God will remain with you all the time and with His grace you will be transformed to an immortal.
ਨੀਚਾ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਨੀਚ ਜਾਤਿ ਨੀਚੀ ਹੂ ਅਤਿ ਨੀਚੁ ॥
neechaa andar neech jaat neechee hoo at neech
He says, those who are egoistic and consider themselves to be high and important; they don’t need me. I remain with those who consider themselves low; whose insides are humble.
Dhaarnaa: (at 56:44)
ਮੇਰਾ ਜੀਅ ਰਾਜੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ….ਵੈਦ ਕੋਲ ਚੱਲ ਨੀ ਮਾਏ
mayraa jee raajee nahee rahiNdaa…..vaid kol chal nee maa-ay
From previous deewaan: Oh, my mother, I don’t remain really happy, content. Please take me to the true physician, the Guru.
ਆਖੇ ਕਰੀਏ ਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਰੋਸ….ਸਦਾ ਆਪੇ ਦੀ ਰੱਖੀਏ ਹੋਸ਼
aakhay karee-ay naa kisay naal ros……sadaa aapay dee rakhee-ay hosh
He says, do not be resentful towards anyone and remain absorbed in knowing your true self.
ਮਾਣ ਹੁੰਦਿਆਂ ਵੀ ਰਹੀਏ ਨਿਮਾਣਾ….ਤਾਣ ਹੁੰਦਿਆਂ ਵੀ ਰਹੀਏ ਨਿਤਣਾ
maan huNdi-aaN vee rahee-ay nimaanaa…..taan huNdi-aaN vee rahee-ay nitaanaa
You may have a lot of power but remain conscious of the fact that any power which you have is bestowed upon you by God.
gaavai ko taan hovai kisai taan.
gaavai ko daat jaanai neesaan.
Those who are wise, they don’t sing glories of the power they have; rather they praise the Divine who bestows that power upon them.
ਪਾਵੇ ਰਹਿਮ ਦੀ ਨਦਰ ਮੇਰਾ ਢੋਲਾ…… ਤੇ ਪਦਵੀ ਅਹਿਮ ਨੀ ਮਾਏ
paavay rahim dee nadar mayraa dholaa…..tay padvee ahim nee maa-ay
If we are not resentful towards anyone, do not complain, remain humble and keep practicing to purify ourselves and remain with the Divine, He blesses us with a high state of consciousness - akaal moorat - beyond time; free from the cycle of birth and death
